Where Will You Spend Eternity?

Jesus spoke the following verses in Scripture:

  • ‘I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God. (Luke 12:8)

  • I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ (Matt. 7:23)

When you die, imagine what’s going to follow if it’s the second verse you’ll hear. It means eternal condemnation — an eternal separation from God.

We are commanded: ‘Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.’ (Matt. 6:19-20)

Most of us go about our daily lives focusing on material and temporal things, not realizing that they’ll all rot, decay, spoil, and disappear. Our lives here on earth are just but a molecule compared to the universe of eternity waiting for us after we pass on. Do you want to spend your time, energy, and resources storing treasures here on earth, or would you rather spend each day seeking God, following His commandments and proclaiming His word?

Friends, eternity is a VERY long time. Doesn’t it make perfect sense that we spend our very limited time here on earth investing in things that will secure an eternal life with our Creator instead of worrying about worldly concerns?

God is so good He has provided for us a way to have an eternal communion with Him in heaven. If you haven’t yet, you simply have to repent of your sins and trust in His only begotten Son as the only way to Him. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father but through Him (John 14:6). ‘If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.’ (Rom. 10:9)

I pray that you do this now. I love and care for you all, and I don’t want any single one of you to spend eternity separated from our Father.

Let me know if you want me to share the Gospel with you in private. I’ll be more than happy to pray for and with you.
